Jeff was born in Vandalia, IL. He was in construction for 22 years, currently employed at Envirotech for 12 years.
Jeff's car was stopped in traffic on the interstate about a mile west of St. Elmo just before 5:30am. A van driven by 22-year-old Joshua Willis of Mansfield, OH, struck Beck's car from behind, forcing the car into the rear of a stopped semi-trailer.
Beck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, 45-year-old William Daume of Canton, TX, was injured in the crash as was his passenger, 53-year-old Bobbi Gibbs of Pauls Valley, OK. They were treated at the scene and released.
Willis was injured as was his passenger/stepfather, 46-year-old Jack Rudolph, Sr. of Mansfield, Ohio. Both were taken to the hospital.
Jeff is survived by his mother Robin (fiancé Mike); his wife; daughter, Taylor Beck; step-daughter, Chelsey (husband, Jake) Beavers; step-sons, Kyle Repking and Trey Myers; grandsons, Brayden and Lucas; and brothers, Donnie Beck and Justin Edwards.
