Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church here, with the Rev. Edmund Cramer officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot at Hillside cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home.
Mr. Wagner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John [sic] Wagner, was born Jan. 8, 1859, in St. Nazianz, and received his education in the rural schools in Manitowoc County. He came here when 21 years old, settling on the present Wagner farm on route 2, Stratford, where he lived until about 1916. He then moved to Marshfield, living on Richfield street until two years ago, when he returned to Stratford.
He was married to Miss Mary Brost in May, 1881 [sic], in School Hill. Wis. A member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church here, Mr. Wagner was assessor of the Town of Eau Pleine for a number of years, and school clerk for more than 10 years. At one time he was also secretary and treasury of the Stratford creamery.
Surviving children included Mrs. Henry (Della) Dinse, route 1, Pittsville; Harry and Anton, Marshfield; Alfred, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Elsie Werth and Mrs. Fred (Martha) Thomson, Marshfield.
Thirteen grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Klinkenberg, Sturgeon Bay; a step-brother, Joseph, Stevens Point; and three step-sisters, Mrs. Charles Walter, Hewitt; Mrs. John Gindinger, Manitowoc; and Sister M. Eusebia, West Point, Neb., also survive.
His wife, who died In 1929, two brothers, and two daughters preceded him in death.
