Mr. Brian B. Sharp, 69, of Flora, Illinois, died at 7:43 p.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at his home. On February 9, 1947.

Brian was born to Leonard Sharp and Bernice (Persinger) Sharp in Palestine, Illinois. He married Susie Sharp on January 19, 1968 in Newton, Illinois.

Over the years he worked at several different saw mills in the area, and then worked at U.S. Weights in Olney, Illinois, until his health no longer allowed. He had a passion for driving and attending demolition derbies. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked to feed the birds. He loved mowing, he mowed many yards throughout Clay County for many years. He loved his family and spent his time attending their sporting events and having fun with all of them. His family was his greatest joy.

Brian is survived by his wife, Susie Sharp, children, Tracy (Ronnie) Williams, Niccole Sharp (Troy) Mayberry; grandchildren, Derek (Ashley) Perry, Nathan Perry, Tiffany Williams, Tiarra Sharp, Trista Sharp, Tyra Sharp, Trey Sharp, Terryk Legg, Aaron (Kerrie) Williams, Amanda(Dustin) Dees, Michael Mayberry, and Rusty Mayberry; great grandchildren, Ethan Cosner, Garrett Cosner, Alexa Gibbons, Draven Perry, Ada Perry, Macey Blake, Jaida Williams, Lucas Vaught, Adara Williams, Preston Owens, Brett Williams, Megan Sweeten, Briana Mathis and Trevor Dees; brothers, Raymond Sharp, Leon (Glenda) Sharp, Chuck (Judy) Sharp; brothers-in-law, Bud Sharp, and Jim Sharp,

He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Brian Dwayne Sharp, Charles Lee Sharp and Lucas Lorenzo Sharp; brothers Terrence, Bill and Leonard Jr. Sharp; sister, Shirley Hoover.

Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 at Kohn Funeral Home in Flora, IL. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, IL. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the family to offset expenses.
