He is survived by his children, Jonathan and Karen Cottrell, Canandaigua, N.Y.; and Chrissy and Matt Card, Hallstead, Pa.; a granddaughter, Natalie Cottrell; siblings, Darlene and Bruce Deisinger, Phil Cottrell and Yvonne and Curt Bennett; a nephew, Stephen Deisinger; many cousins and lifelong friends.
Before his retirement, Don was employed with Vail-Ballou Press for more than 40 years. His hobbies included woodworking, cooking and canning. He enjoyed fishing trips and hunting with his friends every year. Don was caring and generous, checking to make sure there was nothing his family and friends needed that he could take care of. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home Inc., Hallstead, Pa. Inurnment will take place in Sandy Banks Cemetery, Greenfield, Pa. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m., before the service.
