Vickie June Wright passed from this life on September 21, 2016 at her home in Granite at the age of 62. Vickie was born on August 6, 1954 to Billy Ray Vickery and Betty Jo (King) Vickery in Hobart, Oklahoma. Vickie attended grade school and graduated from Granite High School. Later in Vickie’s life she went back to school attending WOSC and received her associates’ degree. She married Charles Glenn Wright on November 13, 1970 in Wellington, Texas. Vickie was self-employed owning and operating an Early Childhood Development Center. She was passionate about little children. She taught Sunday school for the little ones at the Grace Baptist Church where she has been a member for many years. Vickie enjoyed gardening (she truly had a green thumb), sewing, (when the kids needed something altered or repaired for their clothing she would mend it) but her pride and joy were her grandchildren and family.
Vickie is survived by her parents Billy Ray and Betty Jo; her husband Glenn of the home; one son; Chuck Wright and wife Kelli of Granite; two daughters; Rachel Nease and husband Shane of Canyon, Texas and Kelli Halford of Granite; one sister; Jody Wootton of Granite. Vickie leaves a legacy of ten grandchildren; Tori, Tanner, Sarah, Devin, Seth, Kaylyn, Trevor, Hannah, Macie, Caycen and a host of other relatives and friends.
