Rae Delores Smith, 79, of Glen Burnie died of natural causes June 15 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

She was born May 12, 1928, in Baltimore. She lived in Glen Burnie for 55 years.

Mrs. Smith formerly served as president of Business Farms of Maryland. She recently worked for Wal-mart in Hanover.

She was a former member of Marley United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed art, drawing, interior decorating and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Oliver Smith Jr.; and one son, David William Smith.

Survivors include one son, Mark Joseph Smith of Glen Burnie; two daughters, Nancy Holliday of Millersville and Gail Reilman of Carroll; one brother, Gerald Gilbert Piggot of Brooklyn; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Singleton Funeral Home. Interment was in Glen Haven Memorial Park.
