Death last Sunday called another of the older residents of Vernon, when H. Redgrave passed away after a lingering illness.

Mr. Redgrave, during his residence in the city occupied a position with the C.P.R. for over eight years, in the freight department as freight agent. He was also for a time on the police force, while during the latter years of his life he was employed by the C. C. Smith Lumber Co.

He was a member of the I.O.O.F., in which order he occupied various responsible positions from time to time, while he was also affiliated with the Foresters.

He was one of those old-time citizens who has lived here during the developing years of the city, and was at one time very active in most of the undertakings of the city.

His funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, at 2:30, this being in charge of the I.O.O.F., with a good representation of Foresters as well, and was from the Anglican church.

The late Mr. Redgrave leaves, besides Mrs. Redgrave, Gordon, Harold, Pearl, Kate (Mr. McKee), Connie and Gladys.

The following pall bearers performed their last duty towards the deceased brothers by assisting in laying him to rest: D. J. McKay, J. F. Moffat, Thos. Robertson, Robt. Carswell, Wm. Rice and F. B. Jacques.
