Irondequoit: Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the age of 99. Pre-deceased by her husband, Gordon S. Stevens. She is survived by her loving children, Anne (David) Welsh, Eric (Sandra) Stevens, grandchildren, Ian (Andrea) Welsh, Erin (Sean) Fay, Alan Stevens, Dennis (Vanessa) Stevens, Amy (Darren) Yehl, Emily (Don) Fisher, Justin (Ashley) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Olivia Stevens, Natalie Stevens & Torren Yehl.
Virginia retired as an executive assistant from the investment department at JP Morgan Chase. She volunteered many hours at the rectory of her church and at the Scotch Shop. She was a Lt. JG in the Navy, working in Washington during World War II. In her younger days, she enjoyed ice skating, skiing, and walked everywhere. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will deeply miss her.
Virginia's memorial service will be held Wednesday September 21st at 2:30pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.) Interment private.
