Jerry A. Caldwell of Wynne, Arkansas, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne, Arkansas.
Jerry was born in the Fitzgerald Crossing Community in Wynne, Arkansas, on February 2, 1937. Jerry married Peggy Davis in 1960, they have two children, Alan and Becky. In 1978, Jerry founded Caldwell Lumber Company and in 1995 he sold the lumber company to his brother Ronald Caldwell. Jerry was an avid hunter and fishermen and loved his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Peggy Davis Caldwell of Wynne, son, Alan Caldwell and wife Bonnie of Madison, Alabama, Becky Fisher and husband Tim of Wynne, siblings, JoAnn Bassham and husband Robert of Wynne, Randall Caldwell and wife Glenda of Wynne, Dorma Huffstuttler and husband Ted of Colt, Arthur Caldwell of Wynne, Bobby Caldwell and wife Peggy of Wynne, Ronald Caldwell and wife Brenda of Wynne, Kathi Turner and husband Brooks of Wynne, Max Caldwell and wife Jolene of Wynne, sister-in-law, Norma Jane Caldwell of Pine Bluff, grandchildren, Jeff Caldwell, Joey Caldwell, Adam Fisher and Lauren Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston Dudley Caldwell and Hattie Lucille Rose Caldwell and brother, Jimmy Dudley Caldwell in 2014.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Kernodle Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Crosslawn Cemetery.
