Minnie Evelyn Thomas, 93, of Watauga, TX,
formerly of Summersville, WV passed away on
Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Born March 12,
1923 at Mt. Lookout, WV, she was a daughter of
the late Lewis Allen and Ocie Underwood
Halstead. She was also preceded in death by
her husband, Allroe Thomas, by a daughter,
Margie Hanna, and all of her siblings. She was
Baptist by faith and worked for many years at the
Community Super Market and Hallstead’s
Foodland in Summersville..
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Jane
Greer of Fort Worth, TX; seven grandchildren
and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on
Monday, September 26, 2016 in the White
Funeral Home at Summerville with Pastor Joe
Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in the
WV Memorial Gardens at Calvin.
