Darrell LaRue "Dick" Scott, 84, longtime resident of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016 at his home. Dick was born June 17, 1932 at Comanche, Oklahoma to Arch C. and Minnie (Brown) Scott.

He graduated from Comanche High School. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church West and was employed as a pipefitter. Dick married Francine "Fran" Grimes on August 10, 1957 at Wichita Falls, TX and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2000. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle.

Dick is survived by three children, Joey Whetsell of Houston, TX, Clydene Marshall and husband Steve of Edmond, OK and Darrell Scott and wife Liz Ann of Ardmore, OK; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Minnie Scott; his wife, Fran Scott; three brothers, Glen Scott, Jim Scott and Audley Scott; and one sister, Susie Wisdom.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Burial will follow at the Duncan Cemetery.
