Surviving are her daughter Janice (James) Zilm of East Peoria; grandsons Jason (Allisa) Zilm of East Peoria, Ryan (Jess) Zilm of Washington, and Daniel (Jamie) Zilm of Spring Bay; great-grandchildren Blake, Jayden, Cayden, and Jayleigh Zilm; step-great-grandchildren Drew, Chase, Keagen, and Kelli; sister Bernadine Janssen of Metamora; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Mildred was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora. She loved square dancing, country music, and taking care of her house. She loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always there to help her family. The family would like to thank her caregivers who gave her the opportunity to stay in her home.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Metamora with Father Greg Jozefiak officiating. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 4:30 pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with visitation to follow from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Metamora. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Heart Association Midwest Affiliate, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Greater Illinois Chapter, P.O.
