Luther Hubert Wilson, 84, of Spur Branch in Bland County, passed away Wednesday August 24, 2016, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. Born in Pulaski County on September 19, 1931, he was the son of the late James Luther and Reggie Rupe Wilson. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Booth; and brothers, Ernest and Hensel Wilson. He worked as a meat inspector for the state of Virginia and was a veteran having served in the Marine Corps. Surviving are his wife, Viola Brunk Wilson; sons, David and Jamie Wilson, Bland Co., and Donnie Wilson, Little Creek; sisters, Kaye and Steve Patterson, and June Howell, all of Pulaski; brother, Larry and Jean Wilson, Chandler, Ariz,; grandchildren, Nikki and John Schepers, and Thomas Wilson, all of Bland; great-grandson, Arden Schepers, Bland, and all his special friends at Shop-Eez, Shiloh. Funeral services will be held Saturday evening, August 27, 2016, at 7 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Linda Hale officiating. Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, August 28, 2016, in the Cemetery of Little Creek, Spur Branch Rd. Bland, County. The Family will be receiving friends at Stevens Funeral Home Saturday evening from 5 p.m. until the service hour at 7 p.m.
