Charlene Ann Hoeflinger Powell, age 75, of Henderson, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Nov. 7, 1940, in Chicago, to Charles and Eleanor Powell. Words could never express the true love that filled her marriage. She spent her days lovingly devoted to her husband Herb, ensuring his happiness. She was preceded in death by three of her siblings and two of her sisters-in-law, Art (Lil), Bob (Doris); her sister, Sis; daughter-in-law, Marie; and granddaughter, Rebecca. Charlene is survived by her youngest brother and his wife, Bill (Donna); brother-in-law, Rich; husband, Herb; daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Brouillard; son, Jim Hoeflinger; and grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, Ryan and Erik. Catholic Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at St. Thomas More Catholic Community, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson, NV 89074. Catholic Mass will also be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, 15629 IL-59, Plainfield, IL 60544.
