Helen (Althouse) Yost, 94, of Miami passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw.
Helen was born February 4, 1922 in Oronogo, Missouri to Frank and Eula (Turner) Althouse.
She was a homemaker who loved life and loved the Lord. She and her husband Ben where members of First Assembly of God in Miami. Mrs. Yost was preceded in passing by her parents Frank and Eula Althouse, her husband Benjamin Yost and her daughter Lorraine Taylor.
Survivors include her son Robert Yost, son-in-law Robert Taylor of Miami, three grandchildren, Shawnee, Tim and Bill, a great grandson Kyle, a brother Charles Althouse of Miami, and a sister Thelma Anderson of Tulsa.
Visitation is Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 23, 2016 at First Assembly of God in Miami with Reverend Raymond Frizzelle and Reverend Robert Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
