HARRIS, Paul H 100, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born June 6, 1912 in Springfield the son of the late Harley & Hazel (Frantz) Harris. He was a graduate of Olive Branch High School in 1930 and was employed by International Harvester for 30 years, retiring in 1973 where he was a factory ledger accountant. He served 1942-1944 in the US Navy during WWII where he was a Medical Corpman. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church since 1925 where he served at a Decon for 18 years, choir member, and mission treasurer. He loved his hobbies flying private single engine planes and gardening. He enjoyed his membership in the Northridge Lions Club for over 52 years, where he served as District Govenor from 1956-1966. Good Lions buddies Dewey and Bill Shoemaker. He is survived by his wife, Crystal Harris; his children, Philip (Norma) Harris, Polly Stocker, Nancy Gorman; step children, Valerie (Ron) Powell, Sharon (Patrick) Dodds, Linda (Brian) Shortland; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Harris, a daughter, Beverly; three sisters and a brother. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with Rev. Scott Fetter officiating. Burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery.
