James Douglas "Doug" Jacobs, 60, of Brunswick died Wednesday at the local hospital.

Mr. Jacobs was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and was owner and operator of Jacobs Stucco.

A private graveside service will be held Saturday at Brunswick Memorial Park with the Rev. Earl Parrish officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Jacobs of Brunswick; two daughters, Sherry Dawson of Brunswick and Stacie Jacobs of Bluffton, S.C.; a stepson, Danny Strickland of Savannah; mother, Barbara Virginia Brock Jacobs of Brunswick; a sister, Barbara J. Knapp of Brunswick; a brother, Jess Willard Jacobs Jr. of Tammassee, S.C.; one grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
