Dixie Lee Wilson, of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016. The daughter of Joe G. and Eva (Adams) LaRew, was born in Dunnegan, MO, June 12, 1925, later moving to Bolivar and Pleasant Hope. Dixie was a graduate of Humansville High School, and attended SWBC in Bolivar. She was united in marriage to Robert R. Wilson December 14, 1950. She was a long time office Manager for Mayse Motor Co., and later retired from the office of Dr. Gene Wilson. She was an active member of the Pleasant Hope Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob; and two sisters: Helene Hopkins and Wanda Wainscott.

Survivors include two sons: Dr. Gene Ray Wilson of Springfield, MO, and Monte Wilson of Bolivar, MO; one niece Jo Roberts and husband Bill of Bolivar, MO; a nephew Mark Kirby and wife Cathy of Nixa, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Pitts Chapel. A private family service will be held at a later date. Dixie wishes that any memorials be made to the Pleasant Hope Methodist Church, or the Pleasant Hope Fire Department. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
