CPL US ARMY KOREAFrank Luther Fisher left this world peacefully in his sleep on August 9, 2015. He was born October 19, 1930 in Hamblen County, TN grew up and lived in Morristown most of his life. Frank graduated Morristown High School, attended Carson Newman College and graduated University of Tennessee with an accounting degree. He worked briefly for TVA Knoxville and upon moving back to Morristown together with his father and brothers established Fisher Oil Company where he worked until his retirement. He played football, basketball and tennis throughout high school and college, but his greatest passion was for wildlife, especially birds including duck hunting. Frank was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and choir member. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club for over 50 years, serving as past president. He participated in Kiwanis Kapers for many years along with a multitude of civic activities and events.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ella Russell Fisher, father, Edwin Barto Fisher and step mother Beulah Kilgore Fisher, brothers Edwin and Russell Fisher and sister Helen Fisher Slabbekorn.
Survivors include his wife Jacqueline Gilmore Fisher, sister and brother in law Mary Florence (Biddie) and Jim Kirk, brother in law Brooks Gilmore and wife Dawn, children Terrie and Amelia, Frank Little Jr and wife Jennifer, Sharon Little Kidwell and husband Doug, Elizabeth Little Freels and husband Jimmy, 9 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren who were all loved and adored. Many nieces, nephews and cousins along with special friends C. L (Buddy) Nabors, Steve Wright, and Kelly Webb also survive. Having never met a stranger, Frank will always be remembered for his kind loving smiles, his gentleness, and generosity.
The family will receive friends at First Presbyterian Church
on Tuesday, August 11 from 4:00 unitl 5:30 with a memorial service following.
