Kimberly Ann Manning, 49, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away at her home on September 16, 2016, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at Porter Funeral Home in Mexia. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Mexia Cemetery with Reverend Richard Gillet officiating.

Kim was born in Wortham, Texas, to Howard Watson, III and Becky Baldwin Watson. She attended Westfield High School, class of 1985. She went on to further her career and attended Lufkin Beauty School. Kim married Barry Manning and from that union had three daughters; Brandie, Candice and Amanda.

She was a beautician by trade; certified in hair, nails, pedicures, facials and make-up. Kim could do also bake and decorate cakes as a professional, she was an outstanding seamstress, lay bricks, pipe plumbing, do electrical, and had the medical knowledge of the best doctor, and a wonderful cook. Kim was a great friend’s friend, loved by many. She loved life, especially camping, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her precious and dearly loved grandmothers, Jimmie Ruth Murphy Baldwin Grimmett and Hazel Watson; grandfathers, Woodrow Baldwin and Howard Watson, Jr.; and great-grandparents:James and Sarah Ruth Murphy and Howard and Elma Watson, Sr.

Kim is survived by husband, Barry Manning, of Opelika, Alabama; daughters, Brandie Roberson and Bubba, of Teague, Candice Boston and Jay, of Cabot, Arkansas, and Amanda Perez, of Opelika, Alabama; granddaughters: Lexey Perez, and Ava and Zoe Boston; grandsons: Brandyn Ty Carpenter, Racyn and Rylan Langley, and Seth Garcia; her mother, Becky Oliver and step-dad, Jimmy, of Mexia; father, Howard Watson, of Waco; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Linda Manning, of Opelika, Alabama; brothers-in-law, Jimmy and Rob Manning, also of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious dog, Laila.
