Kathy Lynn Hall, 52, of Buchanan, MI passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, MI after a prolonged illness. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI.

Kathy was born on October 28, 1963 in Niles, MI to Larry and June (Waldbach) Burns. Kathy proudly served her country in the United States Navy. She was also a medical assistant at Intercare in Benton Harbor for multiple years. Kathy was a caring and devoted member of Bertrand Bible Church in Niles, MI, who deeply loved her Savior our Lord Jesus Christ. She also enjoyed serving others, playing piano, and reading about Jewish culture. Kathy greatly loved her family especially spending time with her grandchildren.


Kathy is survived by her parents – Larry and June Burns of Buchanan; her children – Christine (Jason) Clouse of Niles, MI, Amy (Richard) Weir of Benton Harbor, MI, Kenneth Hall of Port Huron, MI and Timothy Hall of Buchanan, MI; grandchildren – Anne, Jason, Isaac, Malachi, Otto, Owen and Oliver; sister – Susan (Roger) Fulp of Swansboro, NC; brothers – David (Cindy) Burns of Buchanan, MI and Daniel (Melinda) Burns of Mocksville, NC; former spouse Edwin Hall of Buchanan; and her beloved dog Buster.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, 11:00A.M., at the Bertrand Bible Church – 1008 Ontario Rd., Niles, MI, with Pastor Tony Slagle officiating. Burial with military rites by Post #51 Buchanan American Legion and Naval Honors Team from Great Lakes, IL will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Buchanan. Visitation with the family will precede the service on Thursday at the church from 10:A.M. until time of service at 11:00A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Benevolence Fund at Bertrand Bible Church. Friends wishing to leave the family a message of condolence may do so at www.swemchapel.com
