William Thomas Billingsley passed away at his home on West Hickory Street, in this city last evening at _:30 o'clock. Funeral services will be held at the Cook funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Orien Njus, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment will be in Graceland cemetery.
Mr. Billingsley was born September 4, 1868, near Glasgow, Ky., the son of Lafayette and Mary Jane Billingsley. On December 31, 1893, he was united in marriage at Glasgow with Rhoda Chapman. They came to Fairbury in 1903, and farmed near Fairbury since coming here. They moved to Fairbury in 1944.
Surviving are his wife; two sons Ivan and Floyd Billingsley; three daughters, Mrs. Delsie Sherfy, Roberts; Mrs. Mildred Zimmerman, Fairbury; Mrs. Muriel Wilson, of Arrowsmith; three brothers, Clefus, of near Glasgow, Ky.; Robert, of Fithian; Pearl, of Forrest; a half-brother John Hodges, of near Fairbury, Thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
