Pat V. "Patsy" Williams, 97, a lifelong resident of Dunmore, died early Monday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing in Scranton. His wife, the former Marion Kowaleski, preceded him in death on Nov. 1, 2005.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late William and Angelina Valenza Williams, he attended Dunmore public schools and was a lifelong member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish in Dunmore. He was a Navy veteran, having served during World War II aboard the aircraft carrier Bonhomme Richard. Before his retirement, he had been employed as a driver by the Stegmaier Brewing Co. and had enjoyed repairing grandfather clocks for over 40 years.

Surviving are his sons, Patrick Williams and wife, Carol of Clarks Summit; and Thomas Williams and wife, Lydia of Lake Winola; his five grandchildren, Jacqueline Williams of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; Laura Ann Williams, Eric Williams, Allison Williams and Jason Williams, all of Clarks Summit; his seven great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lucy Williams of Dunmore; and Louise Williams of New Jersey; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Bernetta Ferraro, Mary Caprio and Grace Muracca; and his brothers Paul, Frank and Vito Williams.

Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Dunmore Cemetery.
