Betty Trafton, a beautiful Proverbs 31 woman, received her promotion to Heaven on September 18, 2016. She was 83 years old.

Betty lived in Amarillo almost all her married life and it was home to her. She was a dedicated woman of God, led Thursday Morning Bible Study, spoke at many Christian Women’s Clubs, taught numerous Bible studies, mentored many women and families over the years. Betty was a faithful member of Paramount Baptist Church and in her latter years, she attended Messiah’s House. She worked for the family company, Trafton Printing, for many years. The loves of her life after Jesus, were her husband, her three children, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The key to Betty’s beautiful life was her spiritual life. “Her children rise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her; many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:28-29

She is leaving a beautiful legacy of love for each person she knew, encountered and loved.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, September 21 at Messiah’s House, 514 S.W. Eighth in Amarillo. A private burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Jason Craft and sons Rick and Steve Trafton will officiate. Worship music will be led by Molly Anderson and Joab Purdue.
