Jack Alan McNulty, 79, died September 18th, 2016 at Lampstand Health & Rehabilitation in Bryan, Texas. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, September 22nd at the College Station Cemetery, with full military honors. Honorary Pallbearers are Curtis Green, Scott Whitis, Jax Whitis, and Norberto Santana. Jack was born August 26, 1937 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Evelyn and Leon McNulty. He was employed in the telephone industry for 43 years, working for Western Electric on the East Coast, Mid-Continent in Hudson, Ohio, and Valley Telephone Co-Op in Raymondville, Texas. After he left Valley Telephone Co-Op, he traveled in Texas doing cable work. Jack served four years in the Air Force and five years in the National Guard. He reached his dream of becoming a pilot when he obtained his Private Pilot's License in 1975. Jack was happiest when he was flying a small plane or riding his motorcycle. He and his wife celebrated 41 years of marriage on June 14, 2016. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bryan, Texas, and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Harlingen and Raymondville, Texas. Jack enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was very strong in life and his battle with illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Leon McNulty; sister, Beverly Dudley; nieces, Debbie and Sandy Dudley. Survivors include his wife, Rae McNulty; son, Lance McNulty and his wife, Sherrie of Richmond, VA; daughters, Jackie Green and her husband Curtis of Bryan, Texas, Sherry Whitis and her husband Scott of College Station, Texas; grandchildren, Brian McNulty and his wife Shelley of England, Jax Whitis and Alanna Whitis of College Station, Texas; and a great granddaughter, Penny McNulty of England. The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for their kindness, courtesy and wonderful care provided to Jack. We would also like to thank the Nurses, CNA's PT's and the staff at Lampstand Nursing and Rehab for their kindness and care of Jack over the past three years.
