Louis A. Alfieri Sr, of Hanover died Tuesday, December 31, 2002 in the Southwood Nursing Home in Norwell. The son of the late Louis and Josephine Pasquarella Alfieri, he was born in Boston on May 9, 1921. He was raised and educated in East Boston and lived in Roxbury before moving to Hanover 26 years ago. He served in the Navy during WWII. Mr. Alfieri was first employed as a Printer for the former Schraffts Company in Boston and also for the Mass Department of Education. He retired as a Postal Worker at the South Postal Annex in Boston. He enjoyed Gardening and Fishing. He is survived by his wife, Mary F. DiGiacomandrea Alfieri, 2 sons, Richard L. Alfieri of Hanson and Louis A. Alfieri Jr. of Hanover, 2 daughters, Barbara L. Natale of Pembroke and Sandra M. Silva of Hanson, 1 nephew, Thomas L. Alfieri of Wakefield, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter. He was the Brother of the late Thomas L. Alfieri. The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 11 AM in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139 in Hanover. Interment will be in Hanover Center Cemetery. Visiting Hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53 in Hanover on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
