Rachel Johnson Copeland has been a longtime resident of Fort Pierce, FL since 1949 coming from Monticello, FL.
She was a retired employee of ALPI Head Start in the food service business.
She was a member of the Heavenly Church of the First Born, Fort Pierce where she served as a former secretary, treasure, mother of the church, and the local Sunday School Superintendent.
Survivors include sons, Rev. William Copeland, Elder Kenneth Copeland, Xavier LeRod Copeland, all of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Rachel Workman, of Vero Beach, FL; Juanita Noble, Louise Robinson, Carrie McMillian, and Evelyn Germain, all of Fort Pierce, FL; Patricia Arnett, of Woodbridge, VA; sister Maggie Alexander, of Monticello, FL; thirty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 3 to 4:30PM Friday December 15, 2006 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home and a wake service will be held from 5 to 7PM at the Heavenly Church of The First Born, Fort Pierce. A funeral service will be held 11AM Saturday December 16, 2006 at East Florida Primitive Baptist Assn. Temple, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
