Mrs. Blacker was born March 5, 1925, in Glenwood to Harry and Ferne Jackson Widows. She graduated from Glenwood High School in 1942, She received her bachelor degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and masters degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.
She was united in marriage to Richard H. Blacker, son of Clyde and Marie S. Manke Blacker, on June 11, 1950, in Glenwood. Rozella had resided in Ralston, NE, Glenwood and Estherville, IA. She served the public education system of Iowa and Nebraska as a speech clinician for forty-three years, retiring from the Lakeland Education Agency in 1991. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, DAR, and the First Presbyterian Church of Estherville.
Preceding her in death her father Harry Widows in 1960; a brother Harry J. Widows, USAF in 1945. Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Estherville; sons Alan Scott of Dallas, TX, Jeffery J. of Baltimore, MD; a daughter Rebecca Marj (Randy) of Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren; her mother Ferne Blacker, daughter-in-law Patricia.
Memorials are suggested to the Ladies Golf Association (Estherville Country Club) in Estherville.
