She was born January 18, 1963 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and was known as "Lisa Mama" or "Maw Maw" to many children in the community.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Earl Vernon Ables.
She is survived by her mother, Wanda Strickland-Russell; two sons, William Ben Newton of El Dorado, K.C. Carson of Hampton; one daughter, Stephanie Slaughter and husband Ryan of Warren; one sister, Kerry Jo Ables Pennington and husband James of El Dorado; four grandchildren, Carson Slaughter, Eva Slaughter, Will Newton and Maddax Newton; a niece, Preslee Pennington and a nephew, Cole Hannegan.
The funeral services will be held at the Hampton First Assembly of God with Rev. Rickey Smith and Rev. Jeff Piker officiating. The burial services will follow at Campground Cemetery.
