Rev. Dr. Richard Greenwood, 73, loved husband, father and grandfather of Berrien Springs, passed away, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Rich was born July 19, 1943 in Chicago to Robert and Janet Greenwood. He served as a minister with the United Church of Christ, serving congregations in Grand Rapids, Lowell and St. Joseph, Michigan. On August 15, 2015, he married the former Susan Alexander in St. Joseph. Rich enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping in Colorado.

Rich is survived by his wife Susan; his children Troy (Heather) Greenwood of Denver, CO, Wendy (Jamie) Koebel of Commerce Township, MI; their mother Judy Greenwood of West Bloomfield, MI; five grandchildren Avery and Henry Greenwood; Molly, Freddie and Jack Koebel; and cousin John (Mary) Thomson of Kankakee, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:30 pm Saturday, September 24 at Starks and Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Dr. Chris Noffke officiating.
