A Deep Affliction
Died, at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Dolly Parmly, in Painesville, on Thursday morning, Oct. 27, 1870, David Wheelock Parmly, aged 22 years. He was the oldest son of David and Dolly Parmly, and was a young man of much merit and gave promise of a useful life. Very much respected by all who knew him, for his upright life and correct principles, he was at the same time the idol of his widowed mother and her family. For some time he had been in the employ of Messrs. Seaman and Smith, of Cleveland, and by a well regulated course of life his kindness of heart, and prompt, honorable business habits, had gained for him the esteem and love of all with whom he associated. He was a faithful member of the Disciple church, having united with it at the age of fifteen years. Mrs. Parmly and her family have the warm sympathy of the community, and especially of those who knew the worth of the loved and lost.
