Born February 17, 1896, in Evanston, Wyoming, to Frank A. and Ruth McIntosh Beckstead. Married Albert H. Wilkes, in 1926, in Salt Lake City. He died in 1951. Married Thomas L. Peake, in 1961. Employed at Westinghouse and later worked as a realtor. Was active in Women's Legislature Council and Ladies Aid Society of the 1st Methodist Church and served as Choir member in both Methodist and Episcopal Churches in the City. She was also an active member of the "Forty Niners" Club of St Ambrose Parish. She was preceded in death by a son, Franklin W. Wilkes.
Survivors: husband, Thomas, sister, Mrs. Leonard (Mildred F.) Salmon, Burley, Idaho; daughters, Shirlee W. Walker, Sun Valley, Idaho; Karen Peake Wilkes, Dunwoody Ga.; Sandra Peake Workman, Roosevelt, Utah; son, Dennis Peake, Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Eastman's Evans and Early Mortuary, 574 East First South. Family suggests those wishing make contributions to the Utah Heart Association. Interment, will be in Mt Olivet Cemetery.
