Died: Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Horizon Medical Center. Mr. Felts was born April 11, 1927 in Humphreys County. He was a WWII Army Veteran and member of the VFW. Mr. Felts was a member of Akron Baptist Temple and served as a Sunday school teacher and Deacon for 29 years; he later became a member of the Waverly First Baptist Church. Before retirement, he worked for Akron Porcelain and Ceramics, and served as the President of his Local Glass and Steel Union. Mr. Felts enjoyed working with his hands, especially woodworking. He will be greatly missed by his family who were very important to him.
Visitation: will be held from 10:00am until service time Tuesday, September 20th at the Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: for Mr. John Felts will be conducted at 12:00pm Tuesday, September 20th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glen Buie officiating.
Interment: will follow in the Wyly Cemetery with Military Honors.
