James Edward "Jim" Davis, 59, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died on Friday, September 6, 1996, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was born on August 5, 1937, in Pampa, Texas to Thomas and Lula Cleo Davis.

He married Shirley Woodrum on August 24, 1957, in Newtonia, Missouri. They moved to Bella Vista from St. Louis, Missouri in 1990. Jim was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers, Arkansas where he served as a Deacon. He was the Executive Director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Rogers. He also served on the Board of The Christian Family Services of Rogers.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; his mother and step-father Lula Cleo and W.L. Ferguson of Pampa, Texas; two sons, Larry Davis of Rogers and Jeffrey Davis of Chesterfield, Missouri; one daughter, Patricia Mund of St. Charles, Missouri; two brothers, Thomas Jackson “Jack” Davis of Pampa, Texas, and Marion Decatur “Dick” Davis of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Priscilla Hayes of Texas City, Texas and Eunice Reed of Pampa, Texas; one step-sister, Margaret Ann Bingham of Amarillo, Texas and eight grandchildren.
