In 1966, Marilyn moved to Canajoharie and was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching game shows, dinning out, crocheting, knitting and being around her family. Marilyn along with her husband George created a loving atmosphere and their home was the center of many celebrations. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On October 2, 1949 she was united in marriage to George W. Stevens. That union lasted 64 wonderful blessed years, until his passing on January 26, 2013. She was also predeceased by her sister, Joan DeMurias.
Survivors include her four children, Kenneth E. Stevens and Keara MacIntrye of Canajoharie, Linda A. Stevens and Randy Mickle of Warnerville, Gail M. Summerfield and her husband Vinnie of Endicott and Donna J. Gardner and her husband Rick of Earlton; 10 grandchildren, Edward G. Hohensheldt, Scott G. Hohensheldt and Sherree Duesler, Michelle L. Hohensheldt and Grant Yacobucci, Kristen M. Stevens and Shane Rickard, Kayla M. Warner and her husband Justin, Justin A. Summerfield, Garrett M. Summerfield, Kimberly A. Shultis and her husband Dean, Melinda S. Lucas and her husband Jason, Richard A. Gardner II and his wife Chelsea; and 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place in the Ames Cemetery.
