Linda Esther Stanton, 65, of Sidney, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. Linda was born on May 20, 1947, daughter of the late Charles and Autumn (Follett) Carlson in Elmira, NY. She was married to Clayton Stanton on August 8, 1998. He predeceased her on May 13, 2000. Linda was employed by Amphenol Corp. as a gauge inspector for several years. She enjoyed bowling, watching her son, Todd, drive his racecar at I-88 Speedway, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by: her son, Todd Stanton (Mt. Upton); her daughter, Katrina Stanton (Bainbridge); step-children: Deb Barnes (Oneonta), Sue Gregory (Walton), Clayton Stanton, Jr. (Walton), Randy Stanton (Walton), Dave Stanton (Walton), Kenny Stanton (Downsville), Ed Stanton (Downsville), Marilyn Townsend (Downsville), Dawn Armstrong (Downsville) and Donnie Stanton (Arkansas); and 3 grandchildren: Kylee, Brooke and Clayton Carlson (Bainbridge). She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and James Dann (Guilford); brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Debbie Carlson (Lake City, FL), aunt and uncle, Esther and Blaine Way (Schenectady); and nieces and nephews, Autumn and Kenny Dann, Mike Madsen, Steven Spencer, Christopher Carlson and Cheri Core.

In addition to her husband, Linda was predeceased by two step-children, Gerald and Regina.
