William Douglas Holder, 76, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. with family receiving friends one hour prior to service 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick with Pastor Bill Ligon officiating . Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens, 3945 North Valdosta Rd., Valdosta, Ga. 31602. Abraham Scott, Ronnie Turner, Tony Turner, and Dane Hutchinson will serve as active pallbearers.
Serving honorary pallbearers are Tom Scott. Buddy Joyner and Marvin Minton.

In addition to Mr. Holder's parents, Henry and Johnnie Holder, he is preceded in death by his two brothers, Wilmer Holder and Jimmy Clyde Holder.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Page A. Holder of Brunswick, GA; son Josh Holder, his wife Karis of Virginia Beach, VA; granddaughter Kayla Grace Holder of Virginia Beach, VA; sister Lucille Turner, her husband Jack of Newton, AL; and two brothers, J.W. Holder, his wife Faye and Jerry Wayne Holder both of Newton, AL. Mr. Holder also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and other family members.

Mr. Holder was a native of Newton, AL, and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 41 years. He was a graduate of Newton Alabama High School, and was an entrepreneur by trade. Mr. Holder was a lifetime member, and past president of the local organization: Full Gospel Businessman Fellowship International. He was also a member of Christian Renewal Church and was active in the men's ministry there.
