Vinton — Lena Mae Gee, 69, died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Vinton. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Gee (Mike) Jones of Vinton, Cynthia Gee (Al) Tatum of Orange, Texas, and Cheryl Gee (Albert) Finley of Florence, Ala.; two sons, Gerald James Gee of Houston and Nolan Franklin (Cheryl) Gee Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas; two sisters, Jimmie Lee Faggett of Texas City, Texas, and Rose Jones of Vinton; two brothers, Joe Thomas Jr. of Vinton and Allen Thomas of Houston; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thomas Sr. and Eyola Steve, and by one sister, Elnora Guillory.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in St. James Baptist Church. The Rev. Willie Tillman Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery under the direction of King's Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday in the church.
