Jodi was born on November 14, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Jodi worked as a tax professional at H&R Block for five years.
She played softball for Grandview College and attended McKee Elementary, Hoyt Middle School, and graduated from East High. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandson and family. Jodi enjoyed reading, shopping, and going to Prairie Meadows Casino.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, daughter, Allison Cleghorn; son, Matthew Thomas; mother, Carole Raffensperger (Bill); father, Ronald Ellis; grandson, Keegan Lester; siblings, Steven Ellis, Dawn Ellis (John), Kristen Ellis (Andrew), and Megan Raffensperger (Jesse); several aunts and uncles; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 20th also at the funeral home.
