Piqua - David A. Sterling, 57, of Piqua, died at 9:42 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. He was born Feb. 13, 1956, in Fostoria, to the late Harold and Mildred (Purtee) Sterling.

David is survived by three sons, Jesse Sterling, West Milton, Benjamin Sterling of Dayton and Bradley Sterling of Piqua; four sisters, Vicky Sterling of Piqua, Patty Fraley of Piqua, Penny Lawrence of Piqua, and Tracy White of Urbana; one brother, Joe Harvey of St. Paris; two grandchildren, Raylie and Raygin Sterling both of West Milton. He was preceded in death by one son, Cody Sterling. David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

A Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 475 W. Loy Road, Piqua 45356 with Bishop Randall Frisby officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home, Piqua.
