Reserve 1e Luitenant Vlieger Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve (Service No. 138417). He was killed when his Harvard Mk. II training aircraft (s/n.2741) of 34 Service Flying Training School crashed at Medicine Hat airfield and caught fire.

Son of Christoffel Gijsbertus Sluijter and Johanna Cornelia Tolenaar.

Buried in Hillside Cemetery Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada.
