Son of Harry John Miller who resided in New Haven, Connecticut.

Robert served as a Coxswain, U.S.S. San Juan (CL-54), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in New Haven County, Connecticut prior to the war.

Robert was "Killed In Action" when the USS San Juan was providing gunfire support for the landings at Tulagi, Solomon Islands during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Robert was buried at sea.

Service # 2072017

Robert also has a "Cenotaph" in the Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven, Connecticut with his Dad.
