Lt. Col. Roger "Rocky" W. Page, Jr. USAF ret, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 29, 2006.

He was born in Longview, Texas on January 29, 1945. Roger grew up in an Air Force family and lived in many parts of the United States and Europe. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1967, where he was a member of the Texas Cowboys and ROTC.

After graduation Roger went to pilot training school and graduated "Top Gun." Roger spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. He was a Vietnam Veteran and decorated officer. He felt blessed to have a second career as pilot for American Airlines.

Roger was a loving and devoted son, husband, father and grandfather, delighting in helping and serving his family and friends. His other joys included working out, running 10 miles a day, and travel.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Colonel Roger Page and Jane Aubyn Page; and brother, Mark. He is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Janet; sons, Chris Canon, and wife, Michele, Russell Page and wife, Crystal; daughter, Ashley Morris and husband, Johnathan; grandchildren, Cade, Christian, Chloe, Gideon, Micaiah, Makenzie, and another grandson on the way! Roger had numerous other family members and friends who made his life fuller and richer.

The most important decision of Roger's life was asking Jesus to be his personal Lord and Savior four years ago. He continued to grow in his faith at Oak Hills Church. The family knows that Roger would be most honored if each person who knew him would settle today the issue of where they will spend eternity and ask Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of their life. God promises,
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household." Acts 16:31

Rev. Dr. George Harris and Rev. Russell Page officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Pallbears will be John Bomar, Nick Carter, Toby McWilliams, Bob Morris, Edward Poetschke and Phillip Strickland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Castle Hills First Baptist School, 2220 N.W. Military Highway, San Antonio, TX. 78213.
