Bobbie Jean Jackson Simmons, 67 of Lake Wales, died at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, Florida.
She was the eldest of James Jackson and Carrie Bell Jackson's (nee: Jennings) four children. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. She is survived by her husband of 45 years and her brother. Other survivors include nephews, nieces cousins and step-children.
Bobbie was employed by the Polk County School Board for 39 years until she retired in 2009. She gave unselfishly of herself and was a friend to all who knew her.
