She was a graduate of Bearden High School. She retired from teaching after 35 years. She taught at Paden Schools, Sunrise School, Choctaw Schools and Okemah Oakes Elementary.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Fern (King) Fisher and her husband Kenneth C. Boyd.
She is survived by one son, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, one brother, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Okemah. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Okemah.
