Mrs. Margie (Blackmon) McKinzie Chessher, age 83, of San Augustine, passed from this life Friday, September 16, 2016, in San Augustine.

Margie was born to the late Audrey (Taylor) Blackmon and Jack Blackmon on March 28, 1933, in (*)Shelby County, Texas. She was employed by the Deep East Texas Electric Cooperative, and a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church in San Augustine.

Those who are left to cherish her memory include, daughter, Teresa (McKinzie) Smith and her husband, Robert Glenn; Her beloved grandchildren, Cole Smith and his wife, Krissi; Jordan Smith, and Noelle Smith; Her great-grandchildren, Noble Paul Smith, and Lillian Doniece Smith; Brothers, Jerry Blackmon and Welton Blackmon; Her Sisters-in-law, Linda Blackmon, Alice Ann Blackmon and Hazel McKinzie; Brother-in-law, Buddy Gray; Step-children, Philda and Steve Adams; Jackie and Donnie Fountain; Cecil and Gena Chessher; Tommy Chessher and Earl Chessher, Jr.; along with numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the Chessher family, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends; Special friends, Jeanette Miller and Mrs. Billie Anders her Colonial Pines Nursing Home Roommate and her beloved pet, Sparky.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Jack Blackmon; Husbands, Elton McKinzie and Earl Chessher; children, infant twin sons; Sister, Helen Gray, nephews, James Gray and Mark McKinzie, and niece, Ernastine Couglar.

Funeral Services will be held in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas. Private burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Shelby County, Texas.
