Ms. Viola Elizabeth "Liz" Wheeler, age 67 of Sanderson, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016. Ms. Wheeler was a lifelong Baker County resident. She was a very talented woman who loved singing karaoke and crafts; especially sewing, decorating, and jewelry making. She was also known to have a green thumb and was an exceptional gardener. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son: Jeff (Julie) Barton of Glen St. Mary; daughters: Tonya (Tom) Wasson of Sanderson, Michelle (Joe) Davis of Baxter, Cynthia Kelly of Darrien, GA, and Kasey Kroger-Dankner of Gainesville; brother: Johnny (Julie) Burnham of Macclenny; sisters: Frances Crews of Ponce de Leon, Florida, Willie Mae (T.C.) Green of Macclenny, and Linda (Buddy) Barton of Moniac, GA. Fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband: Max Wheeler, parents: Joe and Maggie Burnham and brother: Rufus Burnham. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend Wendy Florio officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home,
