Chandler was born in Neb. and later moved to Wyoming and South Dakota. After high school joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He was with the milllitary police in Kodiak, Alaska where he met his future wife, Ruthanne Hayes who taught there. The then moved to Durango, Colo. where Chandler attened Fort Lewis College. They then moved to
wa. state and had a daughter, Hilary Gaye and son, Devon Laird. Chandler died peacefully at his home after a long illness and is now with the Lord.
