Marion-Michael “Mike” R. Wiseman, 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 while visiting family in Arizona.
Mike was born on April 7, 1938 in Marion to James and Margaret (Childers) Wiseman. He married DeAnn Fergus on February 16, 1956. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2013.
Mike served honorably in the US Navy from 1955-1959. He was involved in the Korean War Conflict. Mike was a longtime detective for Williamson County and for the City of Marion. He was a member of the American Legion Post 147 and a lifetime member of the Marion VFW Post 1301.

Daughter-Ranae Denney of Marion
Son-Ed Wiseman and wife Terri of Marion
Granddaughter-Kesia McClellan and husband Randy
Great granddaughter-Brylee McClellan
Brother-James E. Wiseman
Sister-Kay Roberts
Sister-Pricilla Huff
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; wife, DeAnn; son, Mikie Wiseman; sister, Brenda Rowlend and infant brother, Richard Wiseman.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11am at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Military rites will be performed by the US Navy with assistance from the American Legion and the Marion VFW Post 1301.
It was Mike and DeAnn’s wishes to be cremated and buried together.
