Church Hill, TN Deloras Ann Allen, 68, of Church Hill passed away peacefully on November 22, 2014 at the Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
Deloras was a loving wife of 51 years, and a mother and “Mamaw” to so many people in the community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Church Hill.
“Mamaw” loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always the life of the party and could find humor in every situation. Her most joyous moments included vacations with all her family members. She loved going on cruises and started planning her next cruise the moment she got off the ship. She was always her grandchildren’s number one fan at sporting events, concerts, graduations, church programs, and anything else they were involved in.
Deloras was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bernecia Harmon, brothers, Walter Jr. and Jimmy, sister-in-law, Verna, mother-in-law, Lida Allen, and other special family members.
Survivors include her loving husband, Glen Allen, Sr., children, Glen Allen, Jr.(Pam) of Church Hill, Tammy Barton (Robert) of Church Hill, Angie Bellamy (Jason) of Kingsport, Tony Allen (Lori) of Church Hill. Grandchildren, Robby Barton, Johnathan Barton, Justin Barton, Heath Allen, Ashley Barton, Kihley Bellamy, Sidney Allen, Jackson Bellamy, Braden Allen, Anna Allen. Great grandchild, Ian Barton, and sister-in-law, Carmela.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the First Baptist Church of Church Hill, and anytime at the residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Gerhardt officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Bowser Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Glen Allen, Jr., Tony Allen, Jason Bellamy, Justin Barton, Heath Allen and Johnathan Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Bellamy and Braden Allen.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Children’s Christian Ministry of the First Baptist Church, 202 East Main Blvd., Church Hill, TN 37642.
